By Drooid · · How we work
Core Situation: Winless Start and Ward’s Role
The Tennessee Titans entered the 2026 NFL season 0-5, extending a combined 3-19 record across Cam Ward’s first 22 starts. The team’s most recent loss was a 26-3 defeat to the Houston Texans in Week 5. Ward, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 draft, is again the focal point of the franchise’s effort to secure its first win of the year when it faces the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6.
Background: Draft Selection and Prior Season
Ward was selected first overall in the 2025 NFL Draft after the Titans posted a 3-14 record in 2024. That rookie campaign ended with the firing of the head coach, adding organizational upheaval to Ward’s transition to the professional level.
