Signature needed for reversal
- Senators Jeff Merkley and Ed Markey introduced a resolution of disapproval Thursday to block President Donald Trump’s nuclear cooperation agreement with Saudi Arabia.
- The resolution cannot be voted on until after Nov. 29 and still requires President Trump’s signature to reverse the deal, making passage unlikely.
- House Democrats have introduced an identical joint resolution of disapproval.
- Donald Trump signed the deal in late July, allowing U.S. firms 30-year Saudi nuclear development.
