History

Historical Context

The 1994 Hebron massacre, when Baruch Goldstein killed 29 worshippers at the Ibrahimi Mosque, triggered condemnation and a UN observer mission, and set a pattern of settler violence. Yesh Din recorded 230 settler attacks on West Bank olive harvests from 27 Sept to 16 Oct 2026, a trend echoed in today’s Abu Falah raid that injured photographer Heidi Levine. Repeated IDF promises to investigate have done little to curb the cycle.
