History

Historical Context

Donald Trump’s 2016 victory—secured on November 8, 2016 with 304 electoral votes despite losing the popular vote by 2.1%—was built on massive rallies, free-media dominance (nearly $2 billion) and unfounded fraud claims. The 2026 Dalton rally, backing Senate candidate Mike Collins and echoing earlier fraud allegations, shows the same populist rallying and polarization strategy persisting.
