History

Historical Context

The Wichita collision revives concerns first seen after the April 6 2018 Humboldt Broncos tragedy, when a semi-trailer truck struck a junior-hockey team bus in Saskatchewan, killing 16 and injuring 13. That crash led Saskatchewan Government Insurance to tighten driver-training standards. Today the Kansas State High School Activities Association has suspended the flag-football championship while schools reassess venue security.
