History

Historical Context

In 1986 HBO launched a heavyweight unification series that crowned Mike Tyson the undisputed champion by winning the WBC, WBA and IBF belts, a feat he completed at age 20. Tyson’s swift title win inspired later prospects, and promoter Frank Warren cites Joseph Dubois’s second-round knockout of Wardley at the O2 Arena as a contemporary echo, with Usyk and Fury slated as future challengers.
