History

Historical Context

After the Browns were reactivated in 1999—returning after a three-year hiatus caused by Art Modell’s move to Baltimore—the franchise’s first win over the Steelers came that season. Decades of struggle, including a 17-year playoff drought that ended in 2020, frame today’s 13-10 victory, where rookie kicker Andre Szmyt sealed the game for Cleveland.
