In 2003-04 Arsenal, under manager Arsène Wenger, became the first Premier League side to finish a 38-match season unbeaten, recording 26 wins, 12 draws and 90 points. Their 30-match unbeaten start set a record later extended to 49 games, a benchmark Brentford cite as they chase a similar early-season run with young talent like Yehor Yarmolyuk.
