History

Historical Context

In 1999, after a 4-6 start, Dick Vermeil’s St. Louis Rams rallied to a 13-3 finish and captured Super Bowl XXXIV on Jan 30 2000, sparked by undrafted quarterback Kurt Warner’s 4,353-yard, 41-touchdown season. The franchise’s “worst-to-first” story is cited as a template for Sean McVay’s 2026 Los Angeles Rams, who sit 2-4 and hope adjustments like fixing Tyler Higbee’s fumble can reverse their fortunes.
