History

Historical Context

In 1999 the St. Louis Rams, coached by Dick Vermeil and quarterback Kurt Warner, turned a 4-win 1998 season into a 13-3 record, the NFL’s first “worst-to-first” champion. Their “Greatest Show on Turf” offense scored 526 points (+284 differential) and won Super Bowl XXXIV on Jan 30 2000 versus the Tennessee Titans. Today the Los Angeles Rams face similar mid-season roster upheaval.
