G27 Bistro Reopens with Triple-Menu Concept After Missile Damage

By Drooid · · How we work

Background and Damage

In late March 2026 a cluster missile landed just meters from G27, a bistro in Ramat Gan’s Ramat Chen neighborhood. The strike caused extensive destruction, costing the owners millions of shekels and forcing an immediate shutdown. The restaurant remained closed for six months while the owners rebuilt the interior, kitchen, and service equipment.

Reimagined Dining Model

When G27 reopened, chef Naor Partush and his team introduced a three-phase daily concept. Starting at 7:30 a.m., the venue operates as a French-style bakery and café, offering classic breakfast items alongside new dishes. From noon to 4 p.m., the menu narrows to eight Italian-inspired plates and on-site baked pizzas, complemented by a limited selection of sushi rolls. After 4 p.m., the space transforms into a full-service restaurant with a broader menu that includes raw fish, appetizers, pasta, and main courses. The redesign emphasizes a kosher focus on fish, premium cheeses, and seasonal ingredients, while the interiors have been carefully refreshed to blend familiarity with a distinct new aesthetic.

Menu Highlights

Breakfast staples such as milk borek, shakshuka, muesli, and avocado bruschetta remain, now joined by a truffle-scrambled-egg croissant, croque madame, Mediterranean frittata, pancakes, French toast, and house-made cream puffs. Lunch highlights include cherry-tomato-butter pasta, fisherman’s pasta, a mushroom trio, and pizzas ranging from classic Margherita to a carciofo version topped with artichokes, Kalamata olives, arugula, and mozzarella, plus five sushi rolls. Evening offerings feature ceviche, red-tuna sashimi, polenta, mac and cheese, stuffed tomatoes, and fresh fish. Desserts are anchored by a caramelized Basque cheesecake served with house-made lemon mascarpone and a berry coulis.

Owner and Chef Perspective

The restaurant’s team explained that they renovated every element—from chairs and cutlery to the kitchen—during the six-month hiatus. They refined the concept to provide distinct experiences for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and report strong support from both longtime patrons and newcomers.

Community Impact

Located away from the bustle of central Ramat Gan, G27’s secluded setting is now considered part of its charm. The reopening and innovative format have drawn diners from beyond the neighborhood, contributing to the revitalization of Ramat Chen after the missile attack.
