Atlanta’s rushing attack ranks third in expected points added per play, challenging San Francisco’s run defense.

History

Historical Context

In 1994, after adding free-agent stars like Deion Sanders, the 49ers posted a league-best 13-3 record and won Super Bowl XXIX, earning a fifth championship and a record six touchdown passes from Steve Young. In 2024 the team, missing Mike Evans, Deebo Samuel and Nick Bosa, must replicate that resilience against the Atlanta Falcons’ powerful rushing attack.
