History

Historical Context

On 26 March 2015 Saudi Arabia headed a nine-nation Arab coalition into Yemen at President Hadi’s request, starting Operation Decisive Storm and a naval blockade. The war has since destroyed over 130 health facilities and 2,900 schools, deepening a humanitarian crisis. The latest Houthi seal of Taiz revives the 2015 blockade pattern, threatening aid for hundreds of thousands.
