History

Historical Context

Since the early 2000s, about 700,000 Israeli settlers have lived in the occupied West Bank, and settler attacks have risen sharply, culminating in the February 26 2023 Huwara rampage that followed the killing of two Har Brakha residents. The 2024 Taybeh assaults, recorded by Yesh Din as over 325 incidents, echo that pattern and threaten the $170 million olive economy.
