Trump Announces Audi Plant

President Donald Trump announced Audi will build a $4 billion factory in Georgia.
The plant will create about 4,500 jobs and produce 200,000 SUVs annually.
Construction starts 2027, with production in early 2030s assembling Q7, Q8 and new Q9.
Audi also plans a 25,000-vehicle-per-year expansion at Scout Motors’ South Carolina plant.
The investment seeks to cut exposure to Trump’s 25 percent tariffs and was billed as a political win before Nov 3 midterms.

Summary

Obama Campaigns Georgia

Barack Obama will campaign in Georgia alongside Senator Jon Ossoff and gubernatorial candidate Keisha Lance Bottoms.
The Cook Political Report rates the Georgia governor race between Bottoms and Rick Jackson as a toss-up.
Local resident Richard Motes, 61, called himself “dead red” and demanded Republican votes after the plant announcement.
Election-interference charges against U.S. President Donald Trump and his allies were dropped earlier this year, ending the indictment saga.
