Historical Context

1995 marked a turning point for English sport: the football Premier League cut its size from 22 to 20 clubs for the 1995-96 season, and Blackburn Rovers captured their first major trophy in 67 years. This restructuring and the emergence of new champions reflected a broader shift toward streamlined, commercially driven top-tier competitions.
