History

Historical Context

The Jets’ 0-8 AFC East start in 2024 mirrors the 2005 collapse that left the team 4-12, its fewest wins since 1996 and the first 0-8 road stretch in franchise history. After the franchise dismissed Herman Edwards, it hired former Patriots assistant Eric Mangini in January 2006, a shift that set a new tone for handling losing streaks.
