History

Historical Context

The Magic’s current injury woes echo the 2000 season when newly-acquired Grant Hill fractured his ankle, missing 31 games and dropping the team from a 31-15 start to a missed playoff run. That setback highlighted Orlando’s long-standing reliance on roster depth, a pattern resurfacing now with Jalen Suggs’ knee bruise and Paolo Banchero’s high-ankle sprain.
