History

Historical Context

In August 2014, Paul George suffered a compound fracture of his tibia and fibula during a USA team scrimmage, forcing him to miss most of the 2014-15 season. The injury later served as a cautionary example for the Oklahoma City Thunder when they traded for him in July 2017, illustrating how severe leg injuries influence roster decisions.
