Arrest and Allegations

On October 25, Ashlea Simon – a former co-leader of the far-right Britain First party and current figurehead of the “All For England” activist group – was detained at Manchester Airport. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said she was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to cause criminal damage in connection with an ongoing investigation into vandalism of houses in multiple occupation (HMOs) across Salford. She was later released on bail pending further enquiries.

Investigation into HMO Vandalism

GMP are investigating around 50 incidents involving HMOs and family homes in Salford, Tameside and Stockport, including smashed windows, targeted cars and a pig’s head left outside a residence. In addition to Simon, five men and a 13-year-old boy have been arrested on similar suspicion.

Official Statements & Responses

A GMP spokesperson confirmed the arrest of a 37-year-old woman on suspicion of conspiracy to cause criminal damage and noted that she has been bailed. The force continues to appeal for information from the public via the non-emergency number 101 or anonymously through Crimestoppers.

Simon’s Perspective

Simon posted on X that the arrest was linked to a series of videos she has produced since July, in which she identified several HMOs in her hometown of Walkden, Salford.
