History

Historical Context

In September 2007 India won the inaugural ICC World Twenty20, defeating Pakistan by five runs in Johannesburg after a 3-0 bowl-out in their group match. The triumph sparked a surge in Indian T20 focus, leading the BCCI to invest heavily in data-driven training. That legacy underpins today’s record fifty against New Zealand as India prepares for the 2024 T20 World Cup.
