Dodge Charger Mopar ’27 Special Edition Marks 90 Years of Brand

Stellantis is releasing a Mopar ’27 special-edition Dodge Charger to commemorate 90 years of the Mopar name. The package is offered on the turbocharged inline-six coupe, either in the 420-hp R/T trim or the 550-hp Scat Pack Plus trim, and adds a suite of cosmetic and performance upgrades. Stellantis lists the additional cost at $10,995 and caps production at 270 units for the North American market—27 for Canada and the remainder for the United States. The limited run will be divided evenly among three paint options: Diamond Black, White Knuckle, and “Bludicrous.”

Since 2010, Stellantis has issued an annual Mopar special-edition vehicle, ranging from Jeep Gladiators to Dodge Challengers. The Mopar brand originated in 1937 as a Chrysler-in-house antifreeze label and has since become the umbrella term for vehicles and genuine parts across the former Chrysler portfolio and the current Stellantis lineup. The 2027 Charger edition celebrates the brand’s near-century heritage.

The Mopar ’27 package includes a carbon-fiber front splitter and rear spoiler, a carbon-fiber hood with a functional scoop, a cold-air intake system, a distinctive graphics package, and a limited-series plaque. Additional factory-authorized upgrades feature performance springs, a free-flowing cat-back exhaust, and 21-by-11-inch wheels. Stellantis notes that all-wheel-drive grip and the Scat Pack power enable acceleration times that rival those of the original Challenger Hellcat.

Stellantis plans to unveil the Charger first at the NHRA Las Vegas Nationals drag races, followed by a showcase in its annual booth at the SEMA show. The three-color lineup and the limited-edition badge are intended to appeal to Mopar enthusiasts seeking a uniquely styled, high-performance Charger while marking the brand’s 90-year milestone.
