Allied NATO units first stationed on Polish soil in 2017 grew to about 5,000 by 2019, and their presence surged during the 2021-22 Russo-Ukrainian crisis. Today, Poland and the United Kingdom conduct joint exercises, reinforcing that NATO legacy.
