01
Deployment Overview
Germany’s permanent brigade stationed at Paluknys airfield in Lithuania will employ electronic-warfare systems to provide early warning of military activity in Russia’s Kaliningrad region and Belarus. The unit will intercept and analyse radio emitters and radar signals, feeding the data into shared electronic-warfare databases used by German and allied forces. Full deployment of the brigade is scheduled for 2027, while the current operational phase runs from October 23 to December 7, 2026. Around 170 personnel from the 932nd Electronic Warfare Battalion have been deployed for this phase.
