History

Operation Cast Lead, the three-week Israeli offensive that began on 27 December 2008, razed roughly 13,000 homes and left 70 % of Gaza’s schools in ruins. The UN’s 2009 Goldstone report labeled many attacks war crimes, prompting Resolution 1860.
