Background & Context – National Unity Day and Agricultural Push

The visit coincided with National Unity Day, marking the 151st birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The government presented the tour as a showcase of its “self-reliant” agenda, linking large-scale infrastructure to supply concerns arising from the Iran conflict.
