Overview of the Seizures
Israeli Border Police and Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the discovery of two substantial illegal weapons caches in the West Bank and in the Lower Galilee during coordinated raids earlier this week. The operations resulted in the seizure of assault rifles, thousands of rounds of ammunition, handguns, conversion kits and related accessories, as well as the arrest of multiple suspects linked to militant networks.
02
West Bank Raid in Hable near Kalkilya
Acting on intelligence supplied by the Judea and Samaria Division’s anti-crime unit, police and IDF troops entered a suspected location in the West Bank village of Hable on Thursday night. The search uncovered three handguns—including an air-soft pistol—an M-4 assault rifle, components for several M-16 rifles, more than 2,300 rounds of assorted ammunition and 67 magazines compatible with M-16, Kalashnikov and Uzi weapons. Some magazines were loaded. Additional items seized included silencers, weapon sights, three RONI conversion kits designed to extend handgun range and accuracy, dozens of weapon parts, tactical accessories and miscellaneous equipment. Police dogs assisted in locating the cache, which also contained substances believed to be narcotics. Two suspects were arrested in connection with the find, and four additional individuals were detained near Jenin on Thursday night, alleged to belong to the Jenin terror network that the IDF says it dismantled during Operation Iron Wall, launched in January 2025.

Lower Galilee Raid in Kafr Manda
On Monday, police conducted a separate raid in the Arab town of Kafr Manda in the Lower Galilee. The operation yielded two M-16 rifles, assorted magazines and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition. Tactical accessories and items suspected to be narcotics were also confiscated. The cache was discovered on October 26, 2026, according to the Israel Police spokesperson’s unit.
