UK Astute-Class Submarines Face Readiness Crisis Amid Dock Infrastructure Shortfalls

As of June 2026 no Astute-class submarines are on patrol. HMS Audacious has left dry dock but is not sea-ready; HMS Anson returned from AUKUS duties in May 2026 and is under maintenance.
