Broken Hill Gold has launched a major geophysics program at its wholly owned White Dam gold-copper project in South Australia and is mobilising a second drill rig to pursue deeper sulphide targets. White Dam, acquired by Broken Hill Gold in late 2025, inherited an operation that previously produced 180,000 ounces of gold and includes historic pits, heap-leach infrastructure, and a processing plant. Historically, exploration focused on shallow oxide gold amenable to heap leaching. Recent drilling, however, has intersected primary sulphides, suggesting a larger, deeper resource. The Icebreaker discovery sits within a magnetic anomaly extending up to 1 km, and the company reports the mineralisation as “open in all directions.”
