Renaming and Portfolio Consolidation
Ubisoft announced that its Creative House 2 unit—home to *Tom Clancy’s The Division*, *Ghost Recon* and *Splinter Cell* as well as the newly acquired “March of Giants” IP—will operate under the Massive Entertainment brand.
Leadership Appointments
The rebranded division is led by general manager Christoph Hartmann, who joined Ubisoft from Amazon Games in June. Hartmann previously founded and led 2K Games. On October 1, Natalie Francis—formerly head of studio operations at DICE and chief development officer at Avalanche Studios—joined as managing director of Massive Entertainment. Both executives are tasked with steering the studio’s existing franchises and new original projects.
Official Statements & Responses
The company also reiterated its broader restructuring goals, noting a target of €200 million in additional cost reductions for 2026. In October 2025 Ubisoft launched a voluntary buyout program for staff at several studios, including Massive Entertainment, and in January this year confirmed plans to make 55 positions redundant at Massive and Ubisoft Stockholm as part of the ongoing restructuring.
