Historical Context

Levi Strauss & Co. introduced Water<Less™ denim in 2009, cutting water use up to 96% and, with WWF and EPA, saving 3.5 billion liters by 2015. This built on its 2011 rollout of 20 waterless techniques and a 2019 pledge to the Paris Agreement. The Wear Longer Project now reaches London and Paris, where Discovery Education and United Repair Centre train youth in garment repair.
