The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s disaster cell reported that the fire spread across a ground-floor and partially ground-plus-one structure, engulfing dozens of commercial units and adjoining chawls. Two charred bodies were recovered; their identities were pending. Four occupants suffered burn injuries and were taken to Rajawadi Hospital’s trauma ward.
