- India’s fight against corruption intensified after the Supreme Court’s 2 February 2012 ruling that cancelled 122 2G licences and declared the allocation by former telecom minister A. Raja unconstitutional, citing a CAG-estimated loss of Rs 1.76 lakh crore. Building on that precedent, Tamil Nadu’s Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau raided 25 sites linked to ex-minister K.N. Nehru in October 2026, probing a Rs 634 crore cash-for-jobs scheme.
