History

In October 1989 the Dallas Cowboys, then 1-15, traded star running back Herschel Walker to the Minnesota Vikings for five players, six draft picks and ultimately 18 total assets. Coach Jimmy Johnson turned those picks into a roster that captured three Super Bowls in the early 1990s, a precedent echoed by the Eagles’ present Saquon Barkley trade talks.
