Summary

Florida will start Aaron Philo at quarterback against No. 3 Georgia on Saturday.
Philo, listed as questionable, missed the Oct. 17 Texas win with a shoulder injury.
He has completed 105 of 149 passes (70.5%) for 1,341 yards, nine TDs, three INTs.
Coach Jon Sumrall said the offense will stay the same regardless of starter.
Georgia coach Kirby Smart said both quarterbacks are capable, each having beaten a ranked opponent.

History

Urban Meyer took over Florida in 2005, guiding the Gators to a 9-3 season and a 31-24 Outback Bowl win over Iowa, marking his first bowl victory. The BCS era’s disputed championships, highlighted by the 2004-05 undefeated-team controversy, spurred the 2014 launch of the College Football Playoff, a framework that now frames the 2024 quarterback uncertainty.
